Fenway Community Health Center opens.

(Aug.) Initially a free clinic staffed by volunteers in the Boston Center for Older Americans, it is located at 881 Huntington Avenue. The facility moves to 16 Haviland Street in 1973 and subsequently becomes affiliated with Boston City Hospital and New England Deaconess Hospital.
